Safari Overview

The program is designed for a full four-day game drive, one day of which you will spend in Lake Manyara, then in Serengeti and two days in Ngorongoro Crater. Serengeti National Park is considered a treasure of the world’s wildlife. The unique climatic conditions allow you to enjoy the incredible scenery, and you’ll be able to see resting lions, the secretive leopard and graceful antelopes.
The advantage of this itinerary is that it gives more chances to see the rare representatives of the African fauna: pythons, gemsboks, elands, servals, caracals, secretary birds, crocodiles, black rhinos and many others.

Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park

8:00 a.m In the morning our guide will be at your Arusha’s accommodation ahead for the start of your safari.You will go ahead and drive to Lake Manyara National Park , across the gently rolling Masai plains with scattered acacia trees. On your way, you will pass many Maasai in their colourful dressing walking on the roadside,herding their cattle,riding bicycles and driving donkey carts.

The park’s name means shallow salt lake. It covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the different seasons and is home to flocks of flamingos and over 500 other bird species. On your exploration of the park you will see monkeys, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant and with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. After an extensive adventurous game drive, having experienced the various sights and sounds of the wilderness, you will leave the park heading to your lodge marking an epic start of your affordable Tanzania safari.

Lake Manyara - Serengeti

After breakfast you will drive towards the fertile crater highlands where the farmers grow wheat, corn and coffee. At midday you will reach the plains of the Serengeti National Park, the largest park in Tanzania. The Serengeti has a diversity of landscapes including short grass plains, savanna, thick bush, swamps and lakes and it is famous for the yearly wildebeest migration when hundred thousands of wildebeest and zebras trek to find fresh grass and water After you had your lunch at the picnic site you will continue with your afternoon game drive.

Serengeti mean ‘endless plains’ in swahili and this 6,900 sq. mile (18,000 sq. km) park is inhabited by more than 2 million large animals including more than a million wildebeest. Large predators including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas are drawn to the area by this abundance of prey which migrate through the park.

After your extensive game drive, you will arrive at your tented camp very affordable but with all the amenities for your Tanzania safari package and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast you will head out for an en route game drive through the Serengeti. You might be able to spot the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – before embarking on your journey to Ngorongoro Crater. The animals roam freely through the unfenced reserves offering you an uninterrupted game viewing experience. Arriving at the edge of the crater you will have your first glimpse of what awaits you the following day – glistening streams, open grassland and an infinite number of animals. You will spend the night at a lodge near to the Crater Rim.

Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha

Very early in the morning, descend down to the crater floor for a day of wildlife viewing in one of the most incredible places on Earth, nicknamed (Garden of Eden) since it is inhabited by both animals and human being. After lunch inside the crater, drive up the steep road out of the crater and return to Arusha.

Marking the end of your affordable Tanzania safari, you will arrive back in Arusha at 5:00 p.m where according to your flight schedule you will be transfered to the airport.
